Digna works at a business selling flip-flops, clothes, and other garments. She starts her day at 5:00 AM and is at work by 6:00 AM, returning home around 3:00 PM from her job at the Santiago Nonualco market. To make extra money, she sometimes does laundry for others after coming home. Digna has lived there for five years, and she and her husband built their house together. She currently lives with her husband, Lucio, and their two children, Jaime and Katherine. The father of her children passed away three years ago.
