Brenda Yasmin Mejia García
20 years old / Homemaker
Brenda wakes up at 5:00 a.m. every day to do the household chores and keep the house clean. She lives with Nelson (24 years old), and their 4-year-old daughter, Camila Alejandra, who will start kindergarten next year. They have been living in their current house for 3 years. The house belongs to Nelson's sister, who owns the land. She has allowed them to live there and even gave them permission to build on the property, as well as tear down the old house.
They have encountered a constant fear of finding dangerous animals like snakes and scorpions in their current home, which worries them, especially for the safety of their 4-year-old daughter. This is why they are excited about the prospect of moving into a new house, as it represents greater security and peace of mind for them and for Camila, their young daughter.
"I feel very happy and blessed with this house. Both Nelson and I are excited and happy because it is such a great blessing in our lives and for our family. Our daughter is also happy because she will have her own room."
