She left her studies two years ago because her family couldn’t afford it, but she managed to complete up to 6th grade. Now, she works as a cook and waitress at Costa del Sol (the beach), leaving home at 6:00 AM and returning around 4:40 PM. In addition to her restaurant job, she can also help in the fields with various tasks. “I had to leave school to help my dad since he doesn’t make enough,” she explained.

He left school because they didn’t have the resources and had to work from a very young age. He looks after some animals for someone else and loves going to the fields to help his dad grow corn, beans, squash, and other vegetables.
At the time of the interview Santos (the owner of the house) was not at home.
“We felt very happy about the news of the house because in the type of job we have we can only afford food”.
